                   Forests of Sri Lanka.

Forests are A land ecosystem that is primarily home to flora and fauna. They range in size from small aquatic plants, grasses, vines, and thorn bushes to densely forested russet forests, where the foliage is covered with a single leaf cluster that does not allow even sunlight to reach the ground.

Today, only a small fraction of the world's natural forests remain. Therefore, at some point in human history, abandoned lands that were under human influence have become forests today. They also belong to the natural solid.Although at least 35% of a country's land area should be forested, only 22% remains in Sri Lanka today.

Forests are a unique ecosystem in our country. It is our duty to protect it.The benefits of those forests are Conserves biodiversity,Gives beauty,Reduces landslides, Reduces flooding,Protects groundwater.Etc. We get a lot from forests and there are reasons for deforestation. If they are Increasing population, increasing human needs, increasing human competitiveness, increasing industrialization, increasing resource utilization, obtaining timber for housing, clearing forests for development activities.

Etc. There are many things.

Measures have been taken to conserve the forests of Sri Lanka due to the causes of the above deforestation. These include maintaining national reserves and sanctuaries to ensure the survival of wildlife, educating the public about deforestation, and formulating national insurance strategies.By following things like this, we will be able to protect the forests in our country.
